About Me

Hi,
My name is Zack Robertson (in case you didnt already know) and this site has been set up basically as an interactive journal and reference to places I have been.

I am 22 years old (as of April) and have saved money to embark on my current adventure which hopefully will be a world trip lasting for more than a year. I have wanted travel the world since my sophomore year in High School and finally have gotten under way. It is my theory that it will be alot more beneficial for me to travel the world and see what it has to offer before I go back to college and specialize in something. That something may well wind up being a degree in Nursing (RNP). But who knows, maybe I will change my mind again since I seem to be good at that.

I was born in Aneheim California and Lived in Riverside for 2 years before my parents moved my three brothers (Issac - 12 years older than me, Michael - 4 years older and Nathan - 2 years younger), my sister (Camille - 8 years older) and I to Seattle Washington. We then moved to Mercer Island shortly after. My parents split up and my siblings and I moved with my mother to bellevue, kirkland and various other cities before my mother moved to Orcas island with Michael, Nathan and I where I lived for 8 more years and finished High School. I worked a variety of different jobs from restaraunt work to Video editingDVD creation and filming to carpentry and concrete work.

After I saved up enough money, (after dropping out of college to travel) I took off on October 12th and hitch-hiked down the west coast, tsaying with friends and family and then over to Georgetown Texas, (30 miles north of Austin) to stay with my brother in law Chris and my Sister. It took me a month and a half to get to Georgetown where I arrived just before Thanks Giving. I stayed there for a little over 3 months and worked at a little Bistro and helped work on Chris´s father´s house.

I put an add on www.Craigslist.com in the Costa Rica section requesting a ride down to Costa Rica and a couple weeks later I got a reply from a guy named Ric Poole who was transporting his car down to David, Pnama where he was building a house. So I packed up and wrapped up loose ends and through this website together as quick as i could before leaving 3 days after I talked to Ric. I said bye to my home in texas and traveled for more or less six days straight, besides stops at hotels to sleep. We reached Pnama and Ric dropped me off and I have been winging it ever since.

More to come soon...............
